In the wake of a recent controversy, Waterstones CEO James Daunt has addressed the furor over the bookselling chain's policy on middle grade fiction. Daunt stated that the policy was not meant to be exclusionary, and that Waterstones is committed to stocking a wide range of titles. No, most books don't sell. Only a dozen or so books from any given year become bestsellers, and the vast majority of books don't sell more than a few hundred copies. The Freewrite AlphaSmart is a smart typewriter that connects to the internet and has an e-ink display.
