The adage that says ‘what we tolerate will continue’ has been true especially with sexual abuse. As much as we would like to break systems of abuse, we live in communities who still consider sexual topics as taboo and unacceptable.

In this episode, Kiri-Maree has an uncomfortable yet necessary conversation about sexual abuse with the empowered survivor Michelle Sleight. They both believe that our society should bring this topic to light. Doing so proves that we are becoming an empowered community that knows how to handle sexploitations.

When we normalize the uncomfortable conversations about rape, sexual violence and abuse, we encourage victims to speak up, and hopefully develop the confidence to go after their predators.

Along the way, we start building a community that no longer tolerates the wrongdoings of others. We begin to think as a collective and take necessary steps so that vile actions will not continue for the next generations.
