In 2002 Wendy founded the Pearls with Purpose Foundation, a grassroots organization that blends micro-enterprise training with humanitarian assistance. Through this nonprofit, she has inspired and motivated people all over the world with her hand-up vs. hand-out approach to long-term self-reliance.
She partners with like-minded organizations (Operation Underground Railroad, Mentors International, Rotary Clubs, Rising Star Outreach, Believe International and more) to create dignity for women recovering from sex-trafficking or abusive/disadvantaged situations with hands-on vocational skills training.
She has an adventurous spirit and for years her motto has been “Life begins where your comfort zone ends.”
She has also designed and published The Purpose Driven Planner, a planner which helps bring purpose and productivity to the forefront of life. Her upcoming motivational book, #PurposeDriven- offers an inspiring look into her life and the lives she has touched around the world.
And she has written the long-awaited children’s story, The Purple Dress, which addresses the needs of individuals seeking a more purposeful life, and is beautifully illustrated by artisans in the Philippines.
