Ownership can mean a lot of things but in the leadership arena, it’s being accountable for the decisions you make. It’s knowing that every decision impacts not only ourselves but also other people.
Leaders who take ownership can battle out challenges that come their way. But this will never be a comfortable journey, it’s like a muscle that you need to keep working on.
It’s easy to get lost in blaming others and not take accountability when our decisions turn downhill however, there’s no growth and change in this. When leaders are committed to taking ownership, things get done and better decisions are made at the table.
