Studies show that the top three areas that most people are making resolutions around are exercise, eating habits, and weight loss. It was also found that 80% of people who make New Year's resolutions give up on them by the second week of January, and two thirds of people abandon their resolutions within a month. The three main reasons for abandoning resolutions are perfectionism, fear of failure, and excuses. Setting intentions is about the “why” behind what you are wanting to achieve or accomplish, and it is more heartfelt

"Intentions are less about tasks and the to-dos and more about the feeling you want from taking any action or living that experience. It is more heartfelt to me than intellect, even though the brain has a place in following through with these intentions."
