Currently, there are no effective clinical treatments available to recover the neurological symptoms of post-traumatic brain injuries. This study researched if spermidine could help reverse some of the negative effects of a traumatic brain injury by stimulating the regeneration of cells with concentrated amounts of spermidine.

Currently, there are no effective clinical treatments available to recover the neurological symptoms of post-traumatic brain injuries.  This study researched if spermidine could help reverse some of the negative effects of a traumatic brain injury by stimulating the regeneration of cells with concentrated amounts of spermidine. 

The study closely monitored their patients along with any external factors that could support or take away from the effects of spermidine. 

The results were outstanding. 

Patients treated with spermidine saw improvements in brain swelling, there were far fewer dead neurons, an increase in brain performance and a reduction in swelling.

Brains are the control centers for our bodies and when neurons in the brain are damaged from an injury, there can be an onset of negative effects. Brain functionality can become impaired and the subject might lose the ability to focus, remember tasks, or move around.

Spermidine is a naturally occurring substance our bodies create to support healthy cell renewal. Since there has already been extensive research on the positive effects of spermidine with brain development and cell renewal, Fujian Medical University’s molecular and cellular neurobiology field conducted a study following the effects of patients with a traumatic brain injury that took highly concentrated amounts of spermidine. 

The study suggests that spermidine can prevent or minimize the effects of brain trauma.
