Are Narcissists Loyal To Family Members?

This raises the question of whether narcissists are actually capable of being loyal to anyone. Oftentimes, they cheat on their spouses and have very unpredictable emotional responses to their loved ones, which might make one argue that the concept of loyalty is more of an abstract idea to a narcissist than anything else. When it comes to family, the situation becomes even more complicated. The narcissist usually manipulates family members in order to maintain power and control, and pledging loyalty (or pretending to do so) can be used as a tool to help them reach their goals. But it's not something that they see as a lofty ideal.
