From time to time there are reports about practitioners who abuse their clients. This is certainly NOT all practitioners but there are some who do not respect or observe boundaries. They take liberties that violate clients who have placed trust in them. There are many incredible practitioners and coaches who help people every day and I’ve introduced you to many of them on the show over the last 8 1/2 years. During this show, I want to warn people there are some practitioners and coaches who could take advantage of clients. I’m doing this because there is a problem in the industry and I want my listeners to be armed with this knowledge to advocate for themselves, in order to be able to protect themselves.
It is possible to be safe and to have a wonderful and healing experience, you just need to do your research and your due diligence first. You should do with anyone you see about your health and well-being. I don’t visit any doctor or therapist etc. without checking them out as thoroughly as possible. An example, several years ago, my vascular doctor insisted that I needed a cardiologist and he recommended one. I went in for my first appointment and his staff was great. He came in the room and within 5 minutes he was insulting and offensive. He was being judgmental about things that were completely off base about me and my recovery – without even asking me any questions. This was completely unacceptable. I left the office and went to my car. Then I called the vascular doctor’s office and let them know I would not be seeing this cardiologist again, and I’d do some research and call them back with the name of another doctor soon. I asked two women I knew had my best interest at heart and they gave me recommendations for a doctor that I’ve been very happy with over the last 8 years.
This week Paul Bagge, a good friend of mine and of the show, joins me to discuss a Code of Ethics. We’ve mentioned them before, but this week we will dig into them in more detail and give you guidance in how to use them to your benefit. We will give you a wealth of information to use when scheduling an appointment with any health care professsional.
This show airs Thursday, June 23rd, 2022 at 9 pm ET/6 pm PT
Or listen on the Tune In App on mobile devices on “New Visions Radio”.
Questions we Discuss –
- What is a Code of Ethics
- Who needs a Code of Ethics
- Why Paul wrote the Code of Ethics
- How do we determine who is a client in the social media world with FB and chats and FB and Instagram Live and on and on?
Tantraviking’s Code of Ethics For Sexual Energy Workers
- To be and remain grounded during the entire session.
- To make and provide the client/seeker a healthy and safe environment.
- Be sure the client/seeker has a firm understanding of what will happen during the session.
- To always inform the client/seeker of any possible side effects of the session before it begins.
- To make sure the client/seeker understands they are able to stop the session at anytime they feel uncomfortable with the work being done or do not understand what is being done.
- To realize that the work being done may result in the client/seeker being in an altered mental capacity and to never take advantage of the situation.
- To always act in accordance with the client/seekers best interest.
- To always keep the client/seekers mental, physical and spiritual health as guidelines during a session.
- To not change the scope of the session without client/seekers consent at any time.
- To reserve the right to end the session, and act upon it, if ever the client/seekers or my health or boundaries are or about to become in jeopardy.
- To always, to the best of my ability, provide the client/seeker the services to which they are paying for.
- Provide the client/seeker with sufficient “Aftercare” (AFTERCARE of the client/seeker can be just as important as the session itself. Often the full effects of a session cannot be felt til days later.)
- To always try to teach and educate the client/seeker about their bodies and the processes to which brought them to a session.
