Adulthood: Revisited
Episode 117: Examining Happiness
April 20, 2021
I often feel as if my dog is much happier than I am. If all life forms come from the same source, wouldn't that mean that what makes life happy is the same across life? If that's true, then maybe we should start trying to reduce what makes us happy to its simplest form - so that we can experience happiness more often and more regularly.
Hi, hey, howdy, A:R Nation!

Happiness.

What is it?  Do some people or life forms have greater access to it than others?

Have we made happiness too complicated in our own lives?

I was thinking about my dog, and what makes him happy (or at least what I think makes him happy).

Why is it that my dog can experience happiness more easily and more regularly than I can?

That got me thinking about the universe, and whether we can find ways to experience happiness more in our own lives.

It starts with identifying what we think makes us happy.

From there, how far down can we distill the things that make us happy?

After we distill happiness for our own lives, imagine for a moment how much more accessible happiness can be in our lives - right here, and right now.

Don't worry, be happy.  This is the Adulthood:Revisited Podcast.
