When you're faced with a decision, what guides you?
I'm not talking just about logic or emotion.
I'm talking about the small voice in your mind.
In this episode, I'm happy to have as a guest a friend and colleague from my BNI networking chapter William Bolls.
William is successful licensed real estate broker and realtor with Compass here in the NYC area, as well as in Connecticut.
In our conversation, there wasn't much talk about shop, but rather the journey that William has had and why he's done it.
William starts us off with sharing his journey, growing up in a small town in Texas.
Sure enough, William shares that opportunities presented themselves to him that had him deciding yes or no in a big way.
One of those decisions he had to make was when a friend invited him to go out to live in California.
As William shares, his 'youthful optimism' guided his yes.
Later on, an opportunity presented to take him to New York, where he had to navigate changing priorities and wants in life.
While in New York, opportunities for change in William's career opened up, which would take him from the video and image world into NYC real estate.
As he shares, it was dogged tenacity and a refusal to fail that helped William build a successful real estate practice.
More recently, William once again underwent a huge change in both his career and lifestyle, moving from NYC to Connecticut.
In all of these decisions, he shares his experience navigating each of those moments of time.
He dives into tapping into the wisdom that exists in him and in each one of us, to know that we can trust in ourselves to make things work out.
Finally, William leaves us with some parting guidance, not just about why he thinks he's succeeded in the crazy world of NYC real estate, but how we could each succeed in any endeavor as long as we keep this in mind.
