January 13, 2020 • 2546 MIN
What's the "best" that could happen? That's the mindset of Jae Hermann and the question she asks whenever she's dealing with situations in her life. It wasn't always that way. Just like many people, Jae focused on what's the "worst" that could happen. As a young woman, she was determined to build a career in her chosen field, strategizing, and planning the details to increase her opportunity for success. That all changed one day after being physically assaulted, which then proceeded to derail her beliefs about her choice in career and nearly ruining her emotionally - leading to a massive identity crisis. It took a while for Jae to find herself. Soon she learned to embrace life with curiosity even when fears and doubts surfaced. This approach has allowed life to unfold, leading her to an incredible career as a marketer and business owner, which laid the groundwork for an international wholesale jewelry design business, running an online magazine, building a media production company, and pursuing an award-winning acting career on stage. There was no big plan. Instead, life blossomed into a series of synchronistic opportunities that she sought when presented. Show Notes Jae believes that everything happens for a reason. Ep. 14 - Untangling Spirituality From Religion - An Interview With Eva Live
November 18, 2019 • 2299 MIN
After years of fundamentalist evangelical Christian practice, Eva Live only felt disillusioned with religion. She was feeling aloneness, disconnection, and isolation — an inner sort of torture. She spent years deconstructing her life. Never feeling good enough or a real sense of belonging or spiritually connected until a significant turning point that set her on a course of awakening and beginning with one of her deepest spiritual experiences. From that point, she began reconstructing a new life based on a sense of openness to mystery. She sought out tools and teachers that took her on an inner journey of exploration of what is right for her — opening the doors to trusting her inner voice and wisdom.Today she knows what it takes to make life work on her terms from a place of inner strength and power. She helps others untangle spirituality from religion by inviting them to experience their connection to Self and align with their divine essence – their Soul. When you embrace conscious choice from within and align with your Soul you feel a sense of purpose that fuels and guides your journey forward in life. SHOW NOTES Join us for the pearls of wisdom from Eva as she shares the tapestry of her journey to include: Shifts and changes along the way The role of isolation and disconnection in opening new doorways Isolation vs. community Diving into spirituality after religion Living in "flow mode." Purpose - where does it come from Ways to discover purpose Souls journey Eva's philosophy/mantra - "observe what is, and do what works." A lot of things tend to be listed on Facebook and not Google, Eva recommends looking in both places. Ecstatic Dance, 5 Rhythms Dance, Meditation group, Conscious movement, Tantra, Authentic relating, Intuitive jam, Contact improv, Singing circle, Moon circle, Spiritual awakening group, Sexual awakening group, Sacred embodiment community, Yoga. HOW TO CONNECT WITH EVA Facebook Group: Spirituality After Religion A space to share and connect on spirituality that’s outside of religious frameworks, especially for those who have also left a dogmatic religion and are reconstructing their life outside of it. BIOGRAPHY Eva Live is a writer, poet, and coach who is passionate about helping those who have become disillusioned by the aspects of religion that seek to dominate human spirituality. After healing long-term traumatic effects of her religious past and letting go of the beliefs that held her back, she has discovered an ecstatic spiritual life lived in alignment with her inner soul calling. She started Ecstatic Soul Calling to help you discover your own ecstatic soul calling — so you can feel fully alive, in tune with the life force that flows through all things. BONUS: EVA's FUTURE STATE (not shared in the interview) She has a poetry book that’s almost complete. It’s been on hold for a while as she's focused on other aspects of her creative life, but she's excited to get that out there. It is a poetic journey of coming into her own energy and being and as she says, "becoming who I am." She likes to help more and more humans to discover and connect with our own innate human spirituality and become empowered by reconnecting with our inner core. Particularly for people who’ve been wounded by religion, she's really excited to share the things that have worked for her to get deep healing and come into a sense of purpose as she aligns with what feels like her ecstatic soul calling. Long term, she'd love to see the type of religion that’s been artificially holding humanity down being transmuted. She once had a vision of all religions turning into gold beneath our feet, becoming a beautiful foundation for us to move forward from. It’s when we get to space where we’re no longer feeling victim to our past, but able to see it as foundational with gratitude but also consciously choosing another path, that we really start coming into our power as humans.
Ep. 13 - The Beautiful Gifts Of Highly Sensitive Introverts - An Interview With Jasraj Hothi
October 29, 2019 • 2818 MIN
As a child, Jas Hothi thought everyone was like him. It wasn't until his teens that he realized he was different from others. And it became even more apparent when his career took off while in the corporate world. His big "AHA" came when he had the best year ever in sales recruitment, having made "Employee of the Year." Most people would love to have that kind of accolade. But for Jas, something wasn't right. He was unfilled and just kept wondering why he wasn't happier.  Discovering that he was a highly sensitive introvert was a powerful realization for Jas. Sensitive introverts don't always know they're different because, as he puts it, "we become used to our own reality." Also, when you become used to what you know, anything different is frightening. It turns out, for Jas, the Universe was nudging him in another direction, and he knew he had to trust his intuition.   Show Notes This episode is a real down-to-earth conversation with Jas as he shares his courageous journey to step out of his comfort zone (without a plan) to recalibrate his life. He learned to trust his intuition, honor, and accept who he was and allow that to guide him to make new and positive choices. Although he has many interests and passions, he's committed to sharing what he's learned to help other highly sensitive introverts acknowledge and understand their unique gifts so they can better navigate the world. For years Mandara Cromwell has been on an incredible journey marrying science and spirit. She grew up in the farmlands of Kansas in a devout catholic family. This experience led her on an intense quest to create a new paradigm for healing through sound therapy. Mandara is the CEO of Cyma Technologies and is the inventor and manufacturer of AMI Acoustic Meridian Intelligence Devices. She continues to promote sound as a healing modality throughout the world. As a way of forwarding the field of vibrational medicine (specifically sound therapy), Ms. Cromwell founded (ISTA) the International Sound Therapy Association. Since 2006, the organization has been producing conferences to bring new voices together in the field of "sound science." ISTA and Cyma Technologies offer ongoing classes, training, and programs in numerous cities throughout the US.  In 2017, Mandara produced the Atlanta conference "Cymatics: The Art and Science of Making Sound Visible." Ep. 10 - Step Into Your Beauty Through Truth And Courage - An Interview With Rebecca Boskovic
July 1, 2019 • 2835 MIN
In this episode, Rebecca Boskovic shares her perspective on the achievement of beauty. It’s an inside job by walking the path of truth and courage. Ever since she was 5 years old, Rebecca was very aware of her “own thinking”. Being very self-aware she learned how to process her feelings at a young age. But then as she grew older, especially when she hit adolescence, self-consciousness crept in. She started questioning herself. Stopped looking inward. And in high school, as is the case with many teens, the need for approval from others became prominent in Rebecca’s life. She was more worried about what people thought of her. Everything was outside in and she found herself trying to appease the world, giving up who she was for others. She found herself in a pitched cacophony. Rebecca’s big “Aha” occurred early on in college when her therapist asked a pointed question that shifted her whole perspective on herself, life, and the world. From that point onward she approached life and decisions as to what she wanted from the inside out with greater clarity.   Show Notes: Listen in to hear about her philosophy on fitness and whole-body health. What’s involved in the achievement of wholeness and beauty. How to love the body you have while simultaneously seeking the body you desire and much more such as: 1.  Her perspective on Truth, Courage, Beauty 2.  Optimal health is not about what you look like, but rather how you feel 3.  Achievement of beauty - learn to love yourself and tend to your soul 4.  Beauty is dynamic – slightly imperfect 5.  Our life stories inform our path and purpose 6.  Confidence leads to beauty and strength 7.  The impact of adolescence 8.  Importance of awareness regarding our "Self Talk" 9. What to do when you have reached all your physical goals and still feel empty 10. Important questions to ask yourself:       - Do I really want this?       - How do you know what other people think of you?" 11. AHA Moments that cause us to pivot 12. A lifelong seeker of truth, beauty, and courage . . . Rebecca believes that the best things in life include all three. In her current endeavor to launch her personal training studio in Suwanee, GA, she helps clients who are looking for that personal touch in achieving their fitness goals. Ep. 7 - Love Is Stronger Than Death - An Interview With Carol Neustadt
May 12, 2019 • 2813 MIN
Being a gifted intuitive and clairvoyant is something that Carol Neustadt came into this world as. As a young child, she thought everyone had the ability to hear the voice within. And that everyone had an inner cheerleader or self-helper of a sort. One day, she realized, that was not the case after accidentally being hit in the head by a rock and having to go to the emergency room. Carol had never talked about her ability as an intuitive and clairvoyant until that accident. What’s most striking is that she knew in advance that she was going to have some sort of accident. She often had advance warnings. When she shared this in the hospital, she realized she was different and that not everyone had that ability. That scared her so much that she shut it down for a while. The gift, however, was always there and just dormant for just a short time. Over the year’s her use of intuition and clairvoyance evolved becoming beneficial in her work and life. She began doing volunteer work at a Hospice in Atlanta, GA using her abilities to help patients near death. Over time, her work grew in demand by doctors and staff, and she decided to go all in and get her certification as an End-of-Life Specialist and Death Doula. In this episode, Carol shares her passion along with with amazing stories of work with patients, many straddling consciousness between the worlds and how she helps them lovingly move on.
