They discuss how Nanoleaf designed the perfect mousetrap to compete with elephants in the smart house industry. They also look at their smart lighting products in terms of providing sustainable lighting and improving the smart lighting industry using their wide range of products, like aurora, elements, canvas, controllers, and much more. Nathan Dyck is an acclaimed scientist and technologist with a background in material engineering and products. He is responsible for supervising the production line of his company, Nanoleaf. Before his current position, he was Nanoleaf's Director of Product Development and led product development for products such as light panels, canvases, remotes and rhythms. He also supervised the development of integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. 

Nathan also helped Nanoleaf to secure 2.3 million dollars in non-dilutive funding through SDTC. His company Nanoleaf is an IoT company that uses technology to provide smart lighting solutions.
