When we are being choice-full, we are able to live into our values, we can live into the things we care about.
Dojin Sarah Emerson began practicing Zen in 1996. She lived and trained at Tassajara Zen Mountain Center and other sites of the San Francisco Zen Center from 1997-2007. She received Dharma Transmission from Abbott Konjin Gaelyn Godwin of the Houston Zen Center in 2015. She has a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies. She experiences Bodhisattva Zen practice as uniquely supportive to inquiring into challenging and transforming systems of oppression and is committed to centering anti-racism within the practice. Sarah has also worked for many years in grief support and specializes in ceremonies for child loss. Currently Sarah and her partner, Charlie Korin Pokorny, serve as Head Priests at the Stone Creek Zen Center, which was founded by Jisho Warner
