In this episode we discuss why speaking your mind is the most important aspect of your freedom.
Okay, so here's the juicy episode about the video that I posted and why it was a little controversial. I asked. You spent an hour in a Mexican jail because I was stepping out to a coworking center because the Internet stop working at my place. And there was a police checkpoint and they found a little bit of herb on me, and they put handcuffs on me and they took me to jail and I made a video about my experience. Um, me personally, I don't think I was critical of the Mexican government or anything like that. But someone came onto that post and said, Hey, you should take down this video If someone influential season, they might try to get a bribe from you and you're just making your life more complicated than it has to be.

And while he might be right, and he might not awfully be wrong, I just don't live my life like that. The way I live my life is I live it in a way where I feel that I'm free to do what I want to do, and if I'm not doing anything wrong, if I'm not hurting anyone then I should be free to live my life. And I made the comment that they were institutional kidnappers, and I still feel that way. It has nothing to do with the Mexican government or with really anything to do with Mexico. This is just an institutional thing, an institutional problem worldwide, especially in the US. So in terms of freedom, I definitely feel way more free in Mexico than I would in the U. S. So I posted this video and I'm not afraid to speak my mind. I will stand up for myself. And the reason that I wanted to post this video is because my heart really went out to the other people that I saw in the jail cell.

What I was expecting is I would come across some cartel people and I would have to defend myself in jail. But when I went in there, I mean, they were just regular workers that I see in on construction projects all around to loom. They were hard workers, Um, all of them were really, really good people, and I was just really upset because whenever they get in that situation, half of their salary gets taken away from them from the fines. They also get some of their freedom taken away from them. And this actually ends up hurting the local economy. Because you have people that can't get to work, they can't do work. And what does that do? You know? And the reason that these people were in jail was because they like to smoke weed. Are they hurting? Anyone know? Does putting them in prison make anyone safer? Absolutely not. Um, there are some of the nicest people that you'll probably ever come across, and you will probably feel bad if you saw them in occasion. You would want them to come out.

So I just shared my experiences like I always Well, I will never shy away from speaking my mind, even if it brings some complications. I feel like I'm a reasonable person, and if I'm speaking with someone that's reasonable, then it will end amicably. But obviously, you know, if you come across situations where people aren't unreasonable, that's something that's not within my control. But I'm not going to change my behavior just because those rare possibilities or probabilities or instances might actually happen. Um, I feel like If something did happen, then it would just speak to corruption that was actually going on. Because this is not how you treat anyone in any kind of society, right? You should be able to speak your mind. And I feel like actually a lot of people within the Mexican government would even agree with me. So who's to say so?

I don't think I said anything bad about Mexico. Um, I just spoke my mind. I saw something where other people were hurting and I will talk about it because's that's what felt like was the right thing to do. And if people don't like what I'm saying, and if people are, you know, they feel like what I'm saying is something negative, then they shouldn't be doing those things right. I'm not doing anything wrong. And if you feel like you're doing something wrong, then don't do that. Don't do that wrong thing. So as someone that is a 6% entrepreneur, um, yeah, that I don't give an f is a very big part of my life, and I will actually stand up for myself. I will stick up for others, especially if I see any kind of injustice. It doesn't matter if I'm in the corporate world or if I'm just walking around. That's just how I am. And that's how I want the world to be as well. I want to see a world like that. I don't want to see a world where people are cowering and they're afraid to speak their minds. And they're afraid to speak their thoughts because every single individual on this planet should be free to express themselves.

And if you don't feel free to express yourselves, then that is not a society that I would want to live in.
