Rich began his career in the golf industry, becoming a PGA Professional at the young age of 22. Realizing his passion lay on the other side of the counter, he transitioned into sales, eventually founding his first business in 2014. Rich quickly grew this business, successfully selling it in February 2017.
In the summer of 2016, Rich, alongside two of his best friends, opened a homemade ice cream shop. This venture rapidly expanded to over five locations and continues to grow. Following the sale of his first company, Rich used some of the proceeds to open Hoppin'. The first Hoppin' location debuted in December 2017, followed by a second concept, Pinhouse, in August 2019, and a third Hoppin' location in March 2020. After navigating the challenges of the pandemic, Rich and his team began franchising Hoppin', officially launching in September 2022.
Hoppin' offers a unique approach to franchising bar/restaurants, and Rich anticipates rapid nationwide growth.
In addition to his ventures in the hospitality industry, Rich invests in commercial real estate and various tech companies. He is married, and he and his wife are expecting their first child in August 2023.
