#3 - Kevin Bell with Mighty Lion Fitness talks about what it takes to get fit and stay fit.
Getting started with fitness is the hardest thing for many. There is a way to be healthier by implementing a balance of cardio, strength training, and recovery.
South Jordan Chamber Business Spotlight – Mighty Lion Fitness
Last week I interviewed Kevin Bell with Mighty Lion Fitness.
Mighty Lion Fitness is based here in South Jordan and was started earlier this year. It is in his home in a dedicated gym. Bell says, “South Jordan is such a great community for not only my business but for my family to live.”
He started in his garage and found he needed to have a better environment. The big part of what he is doing is the 1-on-1 personal training. He is there for you all the time you are in the gym. He helps get you the best workout you can have.
People have the opportunity to take back control of their health. You don’t have to live with a body you don’t like. “It is very fulfilling to help people be able to do things with loved ones they sometimes weren’t able to before.”
He says that there are three things you must pay attention to when working out: Cardio, Strength training, and Recovery. How much of each you need, will depend on your goals and the shape you are in.
Bell says, “I put the personal in personal training. I genuinely care about your health and wellness. I want you to be the best and happiest version of yourself you can be.”
Kevin also said that he loves seeing the people he works within the community as they are out with their families and seeing the difference the work we do together is doing for the whole family.
Kevin is a former firefighter and has loved keeping fit. He lives in South Jordan with his wife and three daughters. He loves to hike, camp, bowl, watch sports, and of course, work out.
He has and still coaches sports.
If you ask him about his business, he says, “Fitness doesn’t have to be hard or scary.”
He is also telling people all the time, “You are amazing!”
