Show Highlights:
What is executive functioning in ADHD?
Rowhe 7:41
- Executive function means you can tell your brain to focus and organize and fulfill one task at a time.
The case of sensory input sensitivity
Rowhe 17:29
- It's easy for us to get distracted by sensory input. Mine, in particular, is the smell. If there's a smell that I don't like, I get distracted. And then I just shut down completely.
Is doing what you love important for someone with ADHD?
Rowhe 25:45
- Yes and no. No, because we get bored pretty easily. Yes, because there's a chemical reaction in your brain that helps us focus when there's interest and pressure.
The reality of getting medicated
Rowhe 32:45
- If you have an ADHD brain, you do not get addicted to your ADHD medications or get dependent. It essentially balances the chemical in your brain to function like a neurotypical person.
