Digital Entrepreneur Tracy Raftl talks about Tracy Raftl - Brands | Websites | Copy
In this episode, we have Tracy Raftl from Tracy Raftl - Brands | Websites | Copy.
We have a conversation about zebras and LinkedIn.
As well as her journey from starting an online business in 2011, as a course creator teaching about acne. It was a highly successful brand & business buuuut Google screwed her over and she was ready for a change, a common theme for Tracy.
In 2018 she decided to pivot to brand & web design & had a rude awakening - working with clients & managing projects was a whole different beast. She struggled hard with how to make it profitable without working 23892 a week.
These are just some of the hard lessons she learned:
>Don't try to hire employees to save you time before your business foundations are ready for it.. trying to scale before you're ready is a recipe for disaster
>"Passive income" aka ditching your clients and creating a course won't fix your business either (this is coming from a formerly successful course creator)
> If you want to generate more money & free up your time, getting more clients (or bigger projects) isn't the answer
Here's what worked for me and what she does advocate for:
> Raising your prices so you can free up your time by taking on fewer clients.
> Pruning and streamlining your services so they take less time to deliver while keeping the value for the client high.
> And the bonus is that higher-paying clients are usually less of a pain in the ass and waste less of your time
What Tracy does now, helps service-based entrepreneurs up-level the credibility of their brand & online presence so people will happily pay them higher prices without questioning their value!
