Meet Joe
I grew up on a farm in Lyons, New York as the oldest of 4. As my current day job, I work at a non-profit as a prevention specialist (teacher); I teach in two Buffalo City Schools in grades k to 8. I also manage (and service) rental properties, which in the near future will become my full-time job.  In the past, I also coached cross country, girls basketball, flag football, and track. (grades 5-8)
As for Bicycle riding... Started riding between age 13-15 depends on what counts as "starts riding". I have done a fair bit of racing. I'm cat 3 in road (no longer a racer) also dabbled in cross and a small amount of mountain biking.   My largest efforts have been in bike commuting (year-round) and bike touring.

Meet Emmalee
Raised as an only child, I grew up living with my grandmother (and occasionally at my grandfather's house, too) in the small Lake Ontario town of Wilson, NY.  I attended Keuka College, where during the 2nd week of my freshman year, I met Joey (and also began cycling!).  We were married a few months after I graduated.  It is safe to say that we have created our fair share of wonderful, memorable adventures together. I have had the pleasure of being a 6-9 Montessori teacher (grades 1st, 2nd, and 3rd) at Bennett Park Montessori, Buffalo Public School #32 since 2013 and couldn't be happier to have stumbled upon the Montessori Philosophy of education. After receiving a Masters's in Literacy, I grew more in my appreciation for Montessori education through completing certifications in both early childhood and lower elementary Montessori. While cycling is a huge part of my life, I also enjoy spending time on artistic endeavors (and snuggling with our sweet cat, Charlie!).
