I was born in Butte, Montana and raised in an Air Force family so we moved around a bit but most my childhood was in Maryland. I was a college baseball player before enlisting in the Air Force myself which was a great gateway into my 21 year law enforcement career.  I spent 4 years serving the community in Butte, and 17 in Fort Collins, CO.  

I have been married to Andrea for 22 years and we have three adult children who are off chasing adventures in their own lives. Andrea and I currently live in our airstream trailer traveling the country after selling our home and gym in Fort Collins in late 2021.
