Julie Hutsebautwas an age group swimmer who turned to bike racing in her 20’s.  Born and raised in Montreal, QC, Julie spent her summer months in France with her extended family who happened to be actively involved in all spheres of cycling.  It was then natural for Julie to compete mainly on European soil.

An all-rounder “domestic”, she participated in a number of stage races, including the Giro d’Italia Femminile and several World Cups representing various professional teams.  She concluded her career on the North-American circuit, specializing in one-day races and transitioning to coaching and Team management.

Based and married in the National Capital Region, Julie coached athletes from Junior to Masters level, from regional to international ranks and joined the Paracycling national program as a coordinator and team leader.  Julie Hutsebautfulfilled her dream of attending a major Games through her work at the Canadian Paralympic Committee as Team Senior Coordinator.

Now, a Health and Safety Specialist and consultant in health and wellness, Julie truly believes in the power of leveraging one’s strengths.  Passionate about talent management and neuro-diversity inclusion, she aspires to focus her energy on the accessibility and inclusion of people with disabilities, particularly in the workforce and in recreational facilities.
