On a fairly calm and quiet Halloween evening, I was fortunate enough to have Dave Meaclem (Rongotai College first XV coach), open his home to share a beer to two while talking leadership. I have enjoyed watching Dave not just develop and educate our students, but also empowering them to take up leadership roles and make positive decisions. Throughout this episode we get to hear how he fosters leadership among his athletes, but we also get insight and wisdom from a coach who has spent 32 years fine tuning his craft.
