LinkedIn users can add their contact details to their bio and personal profile, which can help with connections as they may see you as a more legitimate profile as it is more personal information on your page.  However,  this can have a positive or negative impact on your LinkedIn profile along with some consequences of doing so, including spamming and potential for people to take advantage of your personal details.
