Koen Vermeulen, JDPSN
March 31, 2021
So many people are chasing after happiness like it is something that can be attained. But happiness comes and goes. How can you be with "what is" in this moment?
Koen Vermeulen, JDPSN, began practicing with the Kwan Um School of Zen in 1992, frequently from Brussels to Paris for the monthly retreats.  He participated in a seven-week retreat in 1995 and a three-month Kyol Che in 1998. In 2013, Koen Vermeulen received Inka from Zen Master Wu Bong in Wu Bong Sah Temple in Poland. Currently, he is the Secretary-General of the Belgian Buddhist Union, which works to develop the recognition of Buddhism in Belgium, provide training programs in Buddhist philosophy and ethics, Buddhist counseling in the health sector, and with prison work.
