HI, I’M JACOB!

I am the owner of JAK Marketing and the host of the podcast My Social Life.

I started two and a half years ago that is all about telling the stories behind the people on social media  I’ve recorded over 100 interviews with past guests of the show including Starbucks Coffee co-founder Zev Siegl, legendary comedian Tom Dreesen (Frank Sinatra’ opening act for 13 years, 500+ national TV appearances, guest host on Letterman), YouTuber JustDustin (4.7M subscribers), Global Top 100 TikToker SeanDoesMagic (17M+ subscribers).

I started my business in January of 2020. JAK Marketing is a boutique digital marketing agency servicing clients across North America and in parts of Europe.

Prior to running my own agency, I was the Digital Manager for the Ottawa REDBLACKS of the Canadian Football League, responsible for all social media channels, email and web content. In addition, with my experience running my own podcast, I launched REDBLACKS Unfiltered, the official podcast of the Ottawa REDBLACKS. It launched as the #1 football podcast in the entire country. I got my start in sports social media at 19 years old as the Digital Manager for the Ottawa 67’s of the Ontario Hockey League. During my second season with the 67’s, in a nine-month span, I helped the team go from 7,000-17,200 Instagram followers, earn 23,300,000 impressions on Twitter, increase Facebook engagement by 22,000% compared to the previous nine months and earn an approximate earned media value of $1.48M.
