Hi Safety FM listeners, this is Glynis McCarthy, one of the co-hosts of the new podcast series The Practice of Learning Teams, with my fellow co-hosts Brent Sutton and Brent Robinson.

Our goal is to support you on your journey and build a better community of practice for Learning Teams.

During the month of May, we will be exploring the Women’s perspective, adoption and approach on the New View of Safety/Learning Teams, where I have a discussion with women who represent:

1. Organizational Leadership
2. Industry Advocacy
3. Safety Practitioner
4. Regulatory Authority

We will explore that individuals own journey, the role of gender in safety and the potential of the New View of Safety and Learning Teams.

On today’s show, we have a Workplace Safety Regulator participating. I am joined by Deborah Pitout, Health and Safety Innovation Lead for WorkSafe New Zealand. The innovation team at WorkSafe are exploring other ways to engage with organisations, workers, unions and other stakeholders for better outcomes.
