“Hospitality is at the center of what it means to be God’s people.” In the first episode of our series, Philo-Xenia (the greek word for hospitality), Robert compares our practices of hospitality to the behavior of people in the Ancient Near East, looking at Abraham in Genesis. He looks at the provision, protection and lovingkindness of God, laying out what it might look like to embody the hospitality of God in the church, rather than be characterized by the subtle and not-so-subtle hostility of our Western individualism.
