Doing Sustainability
Creating Shareholder Value Through ESG Investment with Aaron Yoon
July 13, 2022
Aaron Yoon, Assistant Professor at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, joins the conversation to discuss his research on ESG used by investors to view and integrate ESG information and methodologies into their business operations. Before his academic career, Aaron worked as an equities sales trader and research analyst at Credit Suisse. He has received multiple awards for his research and teaching, such as Best 40 Under 40 Professors Recognition from Poets & Quants and Chair's Core Teaching Award from Kellogg. Aaron's research started from the idea of wanting to show the link between ESG investment and shareholder value and why businesses should consider potential risks and opportunities around ESG. He also presents what criteria businesses should use when choosing ESG projects that create shareholder value and some of the best practices and future trends in ESG.
