Have you ever felt like you have no control or say in your life?

Is overwhelm and stress a regular experience for you?

If you're nodding your head yes, then this episode is definitely for you!

We have Jennifer Wren Tolo has a guest on the A:R Podcast.

Jennifer has spent much of her adult life helping others.

In the early part of her career, she was a registered nurse.

Add to that mom, wife, personal trainer, certified reiki master, mindfulness practitioner, holistic health and wellness educator, and author.

Obviously, it didn't all come in a single sitting, and Jennifer shares that journey with us.

She shares her experience as an RN, in the chaotic hospital setting yet thriving in the chaos.

Jennifer goes on to share that her world erupted when, during the birth of her second child, he had suffered a massive stroke and had to be taken away.  The medical world told Jennifer and her son that what they ought to expect is a future of struggle and challenges.

From that, Jennifer decided that she wasn't going to let others dictate how she and her family grew.  She resolved that she would have to learn how to best be there for her son

On a friend's recommendation, Jennifer was introduced to reiki healing.  Her path evolved to include other health and wellness practices, including personal training, nutrition education, and mindfulness.

All of her growth and training would be on display in a few years when she learned that her third child was diagnosed with leukemia.

She shares how, while still challenging, the experiences with her second child made her better equipped to handle the challenges that would come with this diagnosis.

Notwithstanding, soon after, Jennifer found herself burnt out and overwhelmed.

Through these experiences, Jennifer shares much of what she learned to take control of your life when things seem out of control.

She shares a powerful lesson of being open to accepting help, whether asking others or when others are offering.

Jennifer leaves us with a message to consider ourselves and our own health if we expect to show up for others.

Taming the chaos of life.  This is the Adulthood:Revisited Podcast.
