Diversifying your real estate portfolio with real estate investor Bobby Lister

On this week's episode of Millennial's and Money our guest is Air BNB Real Estate Investor and Planning and Property Manager Bobby Lister. Bobby shares how growing up in the Middle-Class community of Antelope in between the poverty-stricken Del Paso Heights and the more Affluent community of Roseville was able to see where decisions both good and bad could lead him. He worked his way through college and has always been a big saver and frugal outside of his “$18,000 once in a lifetime wedding” his frugal lifestyle is why he was in a position to buy his first property in 2010 for $140,000. After four years his property had only appreciated to $180,000 and when the real estate agent tried to convince him to sell and insisted that no one would be willing to rent his home Bobby still wisely decided to rent out his home and that was the start to his Real Estate investing journey. Eleven years later Bobby now has a Real Estate Portfolio made up of Air BnB rentals and extended stay travel Nurses with a value upwards of $1.4 million that cash flows $150,000 annually. Bobby is a believer in being patient and maintaining a modest lifestyle as he builds his Real Estate portfolio he and his wife both maintain full-time employment.
