Safety Consultant with Sheldon Primus
The Road to 100th Episodes Day 1
December 28, 2020
In this week, Sheldon talks about his upcoming week of daily podcast episodes leading to episode 100 on January 4th. Sheldon goes over some emails and notes from listeners. He also teases the upcoming services that will help consultants reduce overhead and grow their businesses.
[00:00:00] :  Yeah. This'll episode is powered by Safety FM. Hey, welcome to the safety consultant Podcast. I am your host, Sheldon. Prime Minister, this is the show where I teach you the business of being a safety consultant. Mhm. This week is gonna be one of those weeks. They'll be kind of fun because I am going to do an episode a day this week. So with the episode today, what my plan is is I'm looking to get to my 100th episode, which will actually be next Monday, the first Monday in January. So we're going to go all the way to Episode 99 this week on Friday on, then start 100 for 2021. That is the goal. So I am going to do a solo episode today. And then after the solo episode, we're going to go for three different people that I've pre interviewed already. So we're gonna talk Thio hopping hurt himself. Sam Goodman. He's gonna be on this week. We're also gonna talkto Dr Linda Martin. The Lord acts herself. She's gonna be on the show as well for the week. Pedro Machel, The X factor of safety. He'll be on a Zwelling can have a special guest. My wife, Marianne. She's going to do an episode with me, and I'm actually going to do a music episode. So chances are what I'll do is I'll combine the episode with me and Marion with the music episode, and that's gonna be our slot for the week. Get some big things coming for 2021. You're gonna hear it announced for the first time during this week. But it's gonna be big. It's a game changer for those of you that are going to be safety consultants or you're in safety consulting and you're ready for ah, boost, You're ready for something big to come and to help you with your business going to do several things gonna help you advance your business while reducing your cost to run your business at the same time way got it coming up. So what I'm gonna do is we're actually not going to get into a commercial this time. What we're gonna do is just gonna have a chat with me. That's it. Just me. Eso I decided for this solo episode I was going to do is kind of go over some of the emails and stuff that I've been getting. I thank you everybody for sending me emails that Sheldon at sheldon, primacy dot com or some people have reached out to me on linked in, which is great whenever I do the ocean compliance. Help shows we won't have one of those until the first Tuesday in January. But Tuesdays and Thursdays are the ocean compliance help shows. So Tuesdays and Thursdays will be the OSHA compliance. Help shows those shows air where I'm gonna dedicate and helping people want OSHA compliance. Help. The best way to see those things were gonna be through getting hold of me on linked in. So, Sheldon Prime is when you goto Lincoln, just type that in. You'll see me. Uh, the other way of doing it would be on the Facebook group, and I do have some Facebook pages. Safety consultant at us is a page ocean compliance. Health is a page safety culture is a Facebook page. And then also shell bro safety on Knee Osti, which is national environmental, occupational safety and health training. Think a lot of words for that wondering. That's a nonprofit. They all have Facebook pages. They're all associated with me. I do simulcast my lives through them. If you prefer to watch lives on twitch, you go to twitch dot tv, I believe and you're looking for safety consultant on Twitch. If you prefer YouTube, go to OSHA compliance. Help YouTube channel or safety consultant us you YouTube channel. All of those places you could hear every Tuesday and Thursday at 11 a.m. The OSHA compliance help show. So people have reached out to me either live chats because these are alive or they have sent me emails ahead of time or Lincoln messages ahead of time. And I go over things during those shows, you know, so people can get some ocean compliance home. That is the purpose of that show. So that's a good way of seeing it. Uh, if you are a fan of the podcast, thank you so much for being a fan and content. Contact me and connecting with me. However, you dio would ask you to do one more thing. You might have toe make it too. Subscribe if you haven't yet. You just picked it up every now and then, especially this week. So you know it won't be always like. I like to be 3 a.m. for my releases, but this week it probably won't be 3 a.m. each week. Excuse me each day, but who could be? It just depends on how my editing skills go. But truly if you subscribe, then you are going to get some sort of notification from whatever service you're listening to me right now on to let you know that I have a new episode. The other big thing for me would do is, uh this one will help me. It would be a gift to me if you're in the gift giving mood right now. Since we're in the holiday season, a gift to me would be if you wouldn't mind going ahead and giving me a rating in whatever service you're listening to me on right now. That would be awesome if you would rate to show to date from my two years, I've only had, um to have three ratings and to comments. But I do get a lot of emails and I do get a lot of LinkedIn messages by people. Tell me they like to show which is great. Keep them coming. But for visibility for Apple and Spotify. And, uh, I heart radio and things like that. They actually look in rank shows. I'm in the education ranking, so they rank it pretty much by activity. So what would be awesome is for those of you who really like to show and you have, like, a affinity and you want to see me thrive, please go ahead and hit your your stars, not even telling you how many it's up to you. Whatever you feel, how many stars you feel, how many thumbs up, Ellen, Are you sure? If they do that that way, I think it's all stars. Let's okay, so go ahead and please, just a few extra moments of your day and I'll make a great, great help to me. He'll bring up the visibility of the show. Therefore, I can help more people because they'll be able to find me easier. And that's really how those algorithms work. The more interaction I get with the audience, with likes and comments, the higher tranq more people find me so I'll be able to help people. Or so that's the way it goes. So thank you so much for that. I appreciate it. So let's go ahead and get into some of the people that have reached out to me. Uh, I'll start with an email from someone who sent me an email from Sheldon at Sheldon Primacy. Com. Thomas Ellis. He is a safety consultant, and he was really just talking about wanting Thio. He's trying to focus on his S, P and CS P, but he really wanted to find out more about podcasting as well. So we had a couple of conversations back and forth, and I think that from listening to the show and hey is truly working on getting his, uh, designations done. But he wants to truly started a podcast. So I thought that was awesome. And I thank him for reaching out to me now. The person I reached out to me by email was Don Murphy. He reached out to me regarding courses on and wanted to know a little bit about courses and what he needs to do. And then also he wants to start, uh, having courses himself out there and eso we really started talking about that back and forth, and I was helping him out as much as I can with that one. And, uh, he really needed, like, some email help to get started because I figured if you're going to do anything in this business, you need the list. Okay? He needed a list. Eso We talked about getting us the list and what to look for when you're getting an email service. And that conversation actually led me to an episode. And I did an episode based on that conversation, and I had with Don Don Murphy so truly thank you. See, you guys even help me out with with being able to do actual episodes because of the questions let's go into linked in. So here's a couple of linked in ones. E get pretty much linked in questions first. And the reason why is I get a nice notice on my phone and it gives me a little brief summary of what the email is. Eso. In those cases, when I do get those brief summaries, I'm able to read it. They get interested and then all of a sudden unlinked ID and then when you start, sometimes you can't stop. So if you are not connected to me, then go ahead and do that that is going to be Link did not come. Yeah. Back slash in backslash, Sheldon prime miss e g l d o N p r M u s. So what you gonna do then? When you want to connect me on? Linked in e always say that and have been for the last couple of weeks, LinkedIn has been getting a little bit spammy, and it really has so just right in the header or the connection that you heard me on the show. And that makes it easier for me to go ahead and and accept that connection e except virtually all connections as long as you just have a picture on. But it seems like you're not ready to sell right away because Julia hit like Connect. And it's almost immediately that I'm getting a letter about their business and their service and like, Whoa way just met. You want me to really spend that money on this thing? Eso truly If you're going to connect, you mean you think then I'm I'm grateful for it. Go ahead and do it. So what I would just suggest is that you would also put in the little connection note. Heard you on the show or something similar to that. So then now I know that you're trying to reach out to me that way. So here's one from Eric Lawson. Last week, if you didn't hear the show, was talking pretty much about taking some, taking some responsibility for my part in just I don't know. I would say more of this e was irresponsible with the way that I was dealing with, or even talking about people that believed politically different than me, and I was judging their character versus policy. So therefore, that's wrong for me to do. I don't have to go that far. You don't have to do all that. So therefore, I did a apology on that one and then also thought about Hey, let's bring in some other things that there is a belief system to me saying that I should open up my mind, open up my thinking to include other people and include their thoughts. If it's different from mine or not, just find out why and work on that. So that's what the episode was about. So I got a great note from Eric. Lawson is telling me that thank you. Thanking me for the podcast and about the recent political discourse. He says, uh, more loving and understandings with need. Right now in the political environment. Just wanna let you know that, uh, and this is Eric telling me that he just appreciated it, So I really thank you for that. Eric started a business. His His company is in California, so he has to deal with Cal OSHA. God bless him for his company. He's ex army. So thank you, Eric, For your service and truly e wanted to help in any way I can. So I really believe that I would help you with that. Thank you. For that was a tough episode. It really was. It was good hearing for someone saying that it related to the episode. Thank you. And I didn't ask him what he was interested in hearing in the future. And he did respond to me that if I give a little bit more detail on how to reduce OSHA citations and that got me thinking, I think I have done something like that. But I did it through with my business partner, Kevin Yarbrough. So Yarborough and I, we have a business called Shell Bro Safety. And I'm going thio kind of scroll on my computer right now to see what episode that WAAS. But me and Yarbrough talked about some of the things that way do when we go to OSHA and we represent OSHA in front of, you know, for a client. So he was giving some tips and things like that. Eso let me find that real quick while we're on. And it was actually a very popular episode. Ah, lot of people like Kevin because he's outgoing. And not only is Kevin outgoing, but he's definitely one of those people that is a great spokesman for OSHA being ex OSHA for 28 years on, he really understands the system and taught me quite a bit. So it's Kevin Yarbrough. Um, why a R b r o u G h and in that one would be my episode 60. So you scroll down the Episode 60. You look for Kevin Yarbrough. It's picture him from a speaking engagement where Kevin's got his arms out wide on. That's a great capture of Kevin's personality as well. So that's one of the things that I do remember talking about in that interview. So, Eric, if you're listening today or whatever you're listening because you're not listening today because I'm doing this on a Sunday whenever you're listening Eric ahead and Goto Episode 60 You wanna listen to that Kevin Yarbrough, Uh, Yarbrough really talks about OSHA and some of the things you need to do An informal conference e okay for E got another one on LinkedIn that came in from Alicia Haskins. And, uh, she was truly just one of these quickly little messages and was kind of cool, but she says Hi, Shelling way connected a while ago. Got all of your episodes from Audible. And I just figured out Audible does podcast because of this. So that's pretty cool. Uh, decided that this will be my binge over break on my road trip to see my kids. So happy new years, he says, Happy New Year, Alicia. And I'm really glad to be part of your been suggestion. As you're going thio travel, travel safely. Stay well and I keep protected. Get your mask on the usual right now. When you're leaving the house, you like it, right? Don't give my keys. Don't get my mask doing my nunchucks do have. What else do I need for this? Uh, instead of kidding Lieutenant checks and no one is going out there with that. But I really appreciate now those things that were said I really appreciate everybody for this full, full experience is being in the podcasting over two years getting up to that 100th episode. I know I could have done more episodes to get to the 100 quicker. I'm doing it in my time. It's a labor of love right now, and I'm doing it when I can. So therefore, it took me a little while, right? It took me a while to get there. So truly, I feel that in the rest of the week, Just have fun with it. I have fun talking and interviewing with Sam Goodman, the Hot Murdered and Dr Linda Martin, the Lorax and Pedro Marcy L three x factor safety. We have a good time to talk to them about plenty of other things. Tham Just safety, especially with Sam and Linda. But truly, uh, just think of it is just a nice little fun outlet for the week. And you're helping me get to 100 even faster, accelerating my growth to 100. And then when we come back, next Monday will be my actual 100th episode. And therefore we're gonna have a special guest. And his name is Jay Allen. Yes. J. Allen, that J. Allen Safety FM fame Also the J. Allen for Safety FM, plus the same J. Allen That was also the rated R safety show host. So we're gonna touch to him on the 100th episode. Is being my my buddy helping me out Three things Eso truly. We just have a nice, great open discussion. So that will be Episode 100 January 4th. Listen very closely this week because you're gonna hear a couple of new commercials for me regarding some things that are coming out early January 2021 it's going to help your business explode, and it's also going to cut your costs at the same time for you to do business. I'm really excited to give you this offering. That's been a wrapping up right now. And truly, I feel like you're gonna you're gonna benefit from This is a safety consultant or someone who wants to be a safety consultant. It's gonna be awesome. So listen out for those commercials coming up in the week as you're gonna get the new episodes starting from today. You know, here, you guys are You guys could hear me tomorrow and the next day, and we're gonna have a whole week of this. So we're gonna have a fun week, which is traditionally, uh, a week that no one does anything between Christmas and New Year's Eve, so we're gonna have a good time. All right, See you tomorrow. Go get him. This'll episode has been powered by safety FM.
