Caroline Trapp, DNP (that’s Doctor of Nursing Practice to you and me), is the director of diabetes education and care with the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM), as well as a nurse practitioner specializing in the care of people with diabetes in Michigan. Trapp is a passionate advocate for the role of nurses in educating and empowering patients on lifestyle medicine to combat chronic disease, particularly diabetes.
