April 2, 2021
How often do we really listen to our bodies? As Janis Isaman shares, there's a lot more we can experience and enjoy in our lives when we start paying attention to our physical bodies.
Let's move, A:R Nation!

Answer honestly: how often do you REALLY listen to your physical body?

In this episode, we're talking with Janis Isaman.

Janis is the founder and owner of My Body Couture, a one-on-one private studio where she coaches people around movement and nutrition.

If you ask younger Janis, she probably didn't think that this is where she would find herself.

As Janis shares, there wasn't much beyond team sports like volleyball and basketball as she was growing up.

In college, however, she took a liking to running.

Unfortunately, runner's knee became a problem for her.

Traditional medicine didn't help her get back to running.

It wasn't until she came across pilates where she finally found something that worked for her.

Because of how powerful pilates had been for her, Janis became more and more interested in pilates, and how it impacts movement and health.

In the episode, Janis shares her journey, from this runner's knee injury to owning her own fitness studio.

She dives into why movement is so important to our well-being, and why we should pay more attention to what our physical bodies are telling us.

Finally, if you feel sedentary in any way, Janis shares why it's so critical to take action immediately.

Movement is the song of the body.  This is the Adulthood:Revisited Podcast.
