Welcome to Season 3 and the 77th episode of the podcast series with special guest Rob Fisher.
Hi
Safety FM listeners, this is
Brent Sutton, one of the co-hosts of the podcast series
The Practice of Learning Teams,
Our goal is to support you on your journey and build a better community of practice for
Learning Teams.
On today's show, I talk with
Rob Fisher from
Fisher Technologies and his new book "Understanding Mental Models: Practically Applying Performance Modes, Systems 1&2, and GEMS", which is available in paperback and kindle editions on Amazon.
I consider Rob to be one of the leaders in the field of Human and Organisational Performance (HOP). His work is to help organizations to:
- Reduce safety incidents and all other types of events related to human error
- Significantly Reduce Serious Injury & Fatality potential
- Enhance incident investigation and analysis processes
- Provide the concepts, methods, tools, and processes to reduce errors, understand events and near-misses, improve procedures and procedure use
Today, organisations understand that leadership in the field is an important element of reducing accidents and incidents in industry. In fact, ‘how’ leaders show up in the field matters both to the organisation and the people that are doing the work.
Rob is also going to be in Perth, Australia, on Monday 3rd October 2022 running a free workshop to support the HOP community.
