Jiri (George) Hazlbauer, JDPSN, discusses what living in a Zen community can do for your practice. Your zen family will change you for the better, even if you can't see it in the moment. If you have the chance, please try living in community.
Jiri (George) Hazlbauer, JDPSN, began training with the Kwan Um School of Zen in Prague in 1999. Over the years, he has lived and worked in Zen centers around the world, participating in daily Zen training and many long retreats. Much of his training took place at the Providence Zen Center, where he served as abbot before returning to the Czech Republic. He is currently the guiding teacher of the Czech Republic Sangha, which 9 Zen Centers and groups.
