Larissa Werbicki
I was born and raised in Saskatoon Saskatchewan where I took up the sport of rowing. I fell in love with the sport and knew it was something I wanted to pursue at a higher level.
Made the junior national team out of grade 12 and competed at the Youth Olympics (bronze medal) and World Juniors (silver medal).
Completed a Kinesiology degree at Western while training full time on the National Team and rowing for the university Varsity rowing Team.
In 2018 I competed at my first senior World Rowing Championships and in 2019, the Pan American Games where I won a silver medal in Lima Peru. Here I decided to hang up my oars and try something new!
I was accepted into the Graduate Diploma in business through Queen’s university where I landed my first job out in Toronto!

I grew up mainly playing hockey and soccer, but started racing road bikes in 2018 and haven't looked back.  Since then I've competed in local Ontario races, Pro 1/2 Criterium, and my first UCI WE 1.1 race.  And after 10+ years as a civil engineer, I'm switching gears to pursue pro-cycling. I seek to inspire systemic change and champion communities in which all people have the opportunity to thrive. I'm currently completing a Masters of Management Innovation and Entrepreneurship (MMIE) at Smith School of Business Queen's University, and am soon starting a part-time position as Executive Assistant / Operations Specialist with a company in the medical industry, while continuing to train and optimistic to race again soon.  I believe that with a curious mind, coffee and a bike, anything is possible.
