Modern Education Movement
Become a Teen Entrepreneur with Travis Lish
February 23, 2021
I was introduced to my guest today, Travis through a mutual friend, Joy Anderson, who is also a previous guest on this podcast. She said to me... you've really got to meet this guy. He's doing incredible work with teens and entrepreneurship, so naturally I was curious to find out more. I did a little bit more digging and turns out he's a pretty super creative guy. He's a product designer and business developer. He designed a travel toothbrush that cleans itself, which sounds pretty cool, that blew up big on Kickstarter. But even more than that, he's really super passionate about investing in young people... the future generation. He founded a nonprofit that helps teens start their own businesses. He's been doing that for about four years now, and he's worked with over 100 young people, mentoring them as they walked through a process that he calls the Creator's Path. He's also working in an Acton Academy school, which is a cutting edge K to 12 school that Jeff Sandefer, who was in our third episode, launched. And so we get a chance to learn a bit more about that. Today we'll explore how his model of entrepreneurship is changing teen lives for the better, preparing them for an uncertain future, and how your teen can get involved if it's the right fit for them.
