She was the co-founder of the award-winning arts and culture magazine Kitchen Sink, and is currently on the editorial board of the ground-breaking religion website
Killing the Buddha.
She teaches creative nonfiction, narrative journalism, expository and research writing at the University of California, Berkeley.
