Chapter Summaries:

[00:03:14]
Anissa works with people with PTSD and traumatic brain injuries. Do you do individual sessions or group work?

[00:06:49]
Most of my survivors I work with have a whole host of medical issues. That's why we see trauma survivors with migraines and acid reflux, you name it. Hop on over to my website, www.doomachalingoga.com. That is a great place to start.

[00:08:06]
I am currently reading The Confidence Code, and that is something that my therapist recommended to me. I just read The Gift of Fear. One of the biggest things that women in my position have a problem with is listening to that inner voice. Learning to trust it again.

[00:12:23]
Letting go is one of the hardest things for survivors to do, but necessary if we're going to live a holistic life. Do you do that through your yoga practice? Is it journaling? How did you get to do that?

[00:14:27]
Do you have any other tips or tricks for survivors watching that maybe feel hopeless right now? Your situation is not hopeless. What you're feeling right now is temporary. Try something new, but keep going.

[00:16:21]
"My yoga mat is my greatest confidant. It's my best friend. In addition to that, I'm on meds. Use the technology that's available to you " Getting on the right meds, finding the right therapist for your needs, finding some sort of a way to move your body.

[00:22:23]
With a good night's sleep, 85% of your problems become smaller. Vitamin D plays a huge role in your mental health status. The movement is equally as important. You are talking to us a much more about holistic recovery just in yoga.

[00:25:18]
Do you do journaling or do you do any workbooks? I create them for my clients because I have courses available. I have three Facebook groups that people can jump into and kind of get more acquainted with me. Would you recommend starting with a workbook?

[00:31:00]
I'm creating a membership for women who've been sexually traumatized. The true healing is when you participate in the discussions, the process. We can't heal by ourselves. We have to have a community around us.
